是什麼樣的狀況讓警方會對著電話無奈說「麥擱卡啦！」知名的購票網站Hot墾丁旅遊網，在網站首頁最下方放上「當地警察主管機關 屏東縣警察局 恆春分局 電話：08-8892075」後方在括弧補充「不要打去訂房喔！」但卻經常出現遊客誤打詢問訂房，警方說，平常一天約三通，而現正值春吶訂房期間，電話量變成一天約五通以上。
 
Hot墾丁旅遊網合作的飯店有13間、民宿853間、水上活動9間，以及代售音樂祭、溫泉季、海生館等多處票卷，可說是恆春半島最大的售票網站，行銷副理呂宛蓁解釋，Hot墾丁成立第九年，2004年起台灣多起旅遊消費糾紛，因此為提供民宿的資料負責，也讓在地主管機關透明監督，讓遊客放心訂房旅遊規劃，對於遊客訂房誤打警察局電話，將會請工程師在顯示主管機關電話字型的顏色調的跟底色較為接近，但並不會將此行字撤掉。(李卉婷／屏東報導)
